1_The receiver is finished by hand and the same applies to the fit between barrels and receiver. In this way, the barrels fit perfectly
with the receiver and they are not interchangeable with those of another shotgun.

acquire the target more quickly. For those wishing to opt for a classic
solution, it is also possible to choose the traditional 11x11 parallel rib
or the thin 7x7 mm one. The side ribs are ventilated, as is the upper rib,
while the front sight is made of red fiber optic.
The weight of the barrels, as well as the length, is customizable according
to the shooter’s needs, thanks to some non-structural areas that can be
hollowed or filled to increase or decrease the weight. As for the 29.5” barrels
of “our” shotgun, the weight is 1,480 grams (3.26 lb.), but it can be increased
up to a maximum of 1,520 grams (3.35 lb). By mounting the 11x11 mm rib,
the weight ranges from a minimum of 1,540 (3.39 lb.) to a maximum of 1,560
grams (3.43 lb.). By using a stepped rib, the weight increases further, up to
the “record” values of 1,700 (3.74 lb.) or 1,800 grams (3.96 lb.). All modern
Perazzi barrels are compatible with steel shot ammo.
3D effect
The receiver is made of hardened forged steel. Compared to that of the
MX8, it is 3 millimeters wider, 1.5 millimeters on each side, while the
height is the same, with a weight increase of approximately 50 grams
(1.7 oz.). The wider and heavier receiver results in a lowering of the
center of gravity and a greater weight concentration in the central area,
between the shooter’s hands, which improves the shotgun’s handling and
controllability. The in relief side plates are decorated with a special laser
engraving, with a 3D effect, that depicts the name of the manufacturer
with different sizes and depths. The engraving is gold-plated through
galvanic baths, a process that creates a particular visual effect: some parts
are matte while others are almost mirror-like. The result is of great visual
impact, with writings that appear and disappear depending on how the
light hits the surfaces, thanks to a skillful game of contrasts between the
bright accents and the black background. The covers of the hinge pins are
decorated with a golden “2020”, which is also present in the upper part of
the blued top lever. A red circle stands out on the bottom of the receiver:
it is a reference to the Rising Sun, the symbol of Japan, the country that
hosted the last Olympic Games. Inside the circle, on a black background,
3 we can see a large “P” and the name of the model, both gold-plated and in
relief. The trigger guard and the trigger are made of polished blued steel.
