recoil and even greater penetration capability, with an increase in energy of up to 30%, also in the peripheral sectors.
In a uniform pattern, according to Perazzi, the pellets must not only be distributed equally, but they must also have
a good terminal energy, allowing even those on the edge of the spread to effectively break the clay, because, as we
know, even a single clay can turn the tide of a competition. The two barrels are Castolin brazed to the monobloc,
while the ribs are tin soldered. This process requires more time and care but it helps to preserve the quality of the
steel. For Castolin brazing, in fact, a temperature of 800-900 °C is required, while for tin soldering, 180-200 °C is
enough. In this way, only a small area is heated to a high temperature, while the rest of the barrels is subjected to
a lower heat. The joining of the barrels is carried out manually and each barrel is tested in the indoor range of the
company. If the pattern is not good enough, the barrel is rejected, while, if the centering is not the desired one, the
barrels are separated and rejoined from scratch.
               Custom barrels

The length of the barrels is customizable, so each shooter can choose the value he deems most suitable for his needs,
also depending on the practiced sport. The model of our test had 29.5” barrels, which is traditionally Perazzi’s
standard and one of the most common lengths used by Olympic Trap shooters. The external surfaces of the barrel are
glossy blued, while the ejectors are automatic. The chokes are fixed, 8/10 (**) for the first barrel and 10/10 (*) for the
second. On request, it is possible to opt for a set of interchangeable chokes, especially useful in the versions intended
for Sporting and other hunting simulation sports.
As for the rib, the standard one mounted on our shotgun is the inversely conical 7x10 version, which is one of
the main innovations introduced by the High Tech over the MX8. The rib has a width of 7 millimeters at the
breech and 10 at the muzzle, therefore, due to the effect of perspective, when the shotgun is shouldered the rib
seems perfectly parallel. Since the rib is thinner than a classic one, the field of view is increased and the eye can
