Tech with even more modern and captivating
features. We had the privilege of testing
the very prestigious 12 gauge Gold model,
embellished with gold accents on a black receiver.
                 Less recoil, more penetration
One of the most popular features of Perazzi shotguns is certainly the quality of the barrels. The blanks, made of
special tri-alloy steel, are obtained from solid bars which are first cut to size and then subjected to a deep hole drilling
process directly at the factory. In this way, the steel is not subjected to any stretching and its original elastic qualities
are preserved, so that it can vibrate and expand naturally, giving a better feeling when firing. For the same reason,
only the 3-inch chamber is chromed, while the rest of the barrel is subjected to a lapping process until a mirror-
polished surface is obtained. In fact, chrome plating, in addition to making the surface more resistant, also reduces its
elasticity, negatively impacting the reaction to the shot. Making the internal profiles of the barrel, without the use of
chrome plating, requires a long and meticulous process that improves the quality of the shot patterns. Thanks to the
extraordinary elastic qualities of the materials, Perazzi is able to obtain excellent ballistic results using a traditional
geometry, with standard, non-elongated forcing cones. The steel of the barrels, in fact, expands uniformly and
dampens the pressure peak, so it is not necessary to use longer forcing cones.
Compared to the MX8, the High Tech has introduced the use of a 3-inch chamber combined with an oversized
18.6 mm drilling process, both for the first and second barrel. This combination, during the tests carried out in the
development phase, turned out to be the most performing, producing more uniform patterns with lower perceived

1_The receiver is blued, characterized by a 3D laser engraving with galvanic
gold-plating that creates a pleasant contrast between glossy and matte surfaces.
The receiver is the same as the High Tech, 3 mm wider than that of the MX8
                 and 50 grams heavier.

2_The removable trigger assembly is mounted on a steel trigger guard and it’s cocked by a
pair of sturdy steel coil springs. On request, it is possible to choose traditional leaf springs.

3_The locking mechanism is a Boss-style system, with two squared lugs that lock the hooks
on the center line of the barrels. There are also two sturdy shoulders inside the receiver’s 3
sides, which lock the respective counter-shoulders on the sides of the monobloc.
