the opportunity to test the 20 gauge Black Synt version, the most austere and economical, a perfect entry-
level shotgun that is also able to satisfy the needs of the most experienced hunters.
All-black look
The aesthetics of the Affinity Black Synt are as simple as they are functional, just what one would expect from a
“hardcore” semi-automatic like this one. An all-black look, with an entirely black finish except for the orange “F”,
symbol of Franchi’s “new way”, under the pistol grip. The 7075 aluminum billet receiver is black anodized for
maximum resistance to abrasion and humidity. The receiver is sized according to the caliber, with a height of 65
millimeters and a width of 36 mm, 3 millimeters shorter and 2 mm narrower than the one in 12 gauge. Like on
every modern Franchi shotgun, the sides are crossed longitudinally by two parallel lines which also continue on the
pistol grip and on the initial part of the forend. On the right side, as usual, we have the bolt release button, which
is round and oversized to facilitate its activation with gloves or wet hands. The same goes for the charging handle,
