Crispi Ascent Evo GTX
s it possible to make boots that combine extreme
Ilightness with good structural rigidity? Judging
by the results obtained by Crispi, a historic Treviso-
based manufacturer of footwear for hunting and the
outdoors, we can say yes. The new Ascent Evo GTX
are unique boots characterized by a high technological
content and a modern and captivating design. They
are a sort of “crossover”, able to combine the comfort
and lightness of a “hybrid” half leather-half fabric
upper with sufficient torsional stiffness for use on hills
and mid-mountains.
Polymer exoskeleton
The key to Crispi’s success is the exclusive WFW
(Wrapping Framework) technology, a polymer
exoskeleton that strengthens the sides of the upper
making them more rigid. The polymer inserts,
with a highly visibility orange color, are made by
over-injection on the structure of the upper, an
indestructible fusion that becomes an integral part of
the boot. The upper is also equipped with a tall rubber
rand, which surrounds the entire boot and protects it
from pebbles and abrasions.
hybrid upper
The upper is made of brown suede and High Resistance
Tech, a light but extremely cut-resistant fabric. The fabric
parts allow greater breathability than leather and they
also guarantee a substantial reduction in the overall
weight, which for the Ascent Evo is 771 grams (1.7 lb.)
for each boot (size 45). Thanks to the WFW system, the
forefoot structure remains quite solid, ensuring good
grip on hill and mid-mountain terrains. The boots
are equipped with an internal Goretex Performance
Comfort membrane, which guarantees waterproofing
and breathability. These boots are ideal for mild
temperatures, therefore for early season hunts and for
training dogs during the spring.
The Crispi Ascent Evo GTX are boots that combine excellent
lightness and comfort with good structural rigidity. They are
ideal for summer hikes in the hills or mid-mountains.
