Aigle Altavio Mid GTX Vibram tsavo

The outsole used for the Altavio is the Tsavo model by Vibram,
characterized by lugs in the shape of irregular triangles in the
central part, able to guarantee sufficient grip on any type of terrain
and in any condition. The sole is made of Vibram Multitrek, a
composite material designed to resist temperature changes and
increase the durability of the outsole. The heel design is optimized
to improve braking, while in the front there is a large toecap that
protects the foot and the upper from impacts. The insole is made by
Ortholite using polyurethane foam with memory foam effect, it is
extraordinarily soft and able to reduce foot fatigue even during the
longest and most tiring hikes.

In spite of the extraordinary softness and
overall lightness, the Altavio offer total
protection from water thanks to
the internal Goretex Performance
Comfort membrane, ideal, in
combination with the thin upper,
for use during the summer and
spring. The upper part of the
boot is made of padded Cordura,
to support the malleolus and give
maximum comfort to the ankle.

sOft and LIghtWeIght the sCOre
The Aigle Altavio Mid are a perfect solution for summer Insulation H H H H H
hunts on medium-demanding terrain, in cases where Comfort H H H H H
walking comfort is more important than torsional
stiffness. The thin leather upper, in fact, is incredibly soft Rigidity H H H H H
and perfectly supports the movements of the foot. This Waterproofing H H H H H
makes for an extremely comfortable boot, which supports
the foot very well and improves the user’s sensation while
walking, but which, on the other hand, does not offer
great grip on rough mountain terrains.
The boots, however, proved to be perfectly at ease in the
hills, even on terrain with a moderate slope and uneven
ground. I used the Altavio during the month of August while
hunting male roe deer in the hills and with rather high data sheet
temperatures. The low height and low weight, in combination Manufacturer: Aigle, aigle.com
with the Performance Comfort membrane, made the boots Model: Altavio Mid gTX
perfectly bearable for the entire day. The grip offered by the Upper: suede
outsole is excellent, both on early morning wet grass and Membrane: goretex Performance Comfort
on slippery ground characterized by gravel and debris. The Outsole: Vibram Tsavo
waterproofing is guaranteed by the goretex membrane, Insole: ortholite polyurethane foam

particularly suitable for wet or marshy soils. The ortholite Max height at the ankle: 19 cm
