consistency of the shot patterns. As anticipated, the chambering is of the magnum type, 3”, while the barrel lengths
available are 24, 26, 28 and 30 inches. Thanks to the wide range of choices, therefore, the Ultraleggero is not limited
only to Upland hunting with dogs, but it can also be used without problems for other forms of hunting, while
maintaining a lower weight than a standard shotgun of the same length. The over-and-under is steel shots certified,
meaning that it can use cartridges loaded with steel shots or other non-toxic materials, as long as you use chokes
no higher than Modified. The bore is chrome-lined, while the external surfaces are polished and burnished. The
barrels are monobloc welded and without side ribs, to help reduce weight. The upper rib is ventilated, 6x6 mm,
finely knurled to avoid annoying light reflections. The front sight is a brass pearl, very traditional in look, but still
very effective in practice, while the extractors are automatic. The rifle comes with a set of 5 Optima choke Hp internal
chokes, 70 mm long, with choke values ranging from Cylindric to Full. In addition, for the launch of the Ultraleggero,

Beretta has expanded its spare parts catalog with two new Paradox rifled chokes: a 70 mm long internal one and a 90
mm long internal-external one, both of which can be purchased separately.
                 new forend, new stock
For the stock, Beretta technicians have imposed rigorous density standards for the selection of the walnut wood.
As a matter of fact, the wood must have a density not exceeding 6.5 g/cm3, although being of grade 2.5, and
then it is oil finished with an opaque effect. To further contain the weight, the inside of the stock has been carved
by removing unnecessary material without affecting the strength of the firearm. The normal cylindrical milling
for the stock screw has essentially been expanded resulting in a weight saving of over 120 grams. The buttpad
has also been replaced with a new model called Extralight, made of closed
cell expanded technopolymer, 20 mm thick and weighing only 39 grams,
fixing screws included. Actually, Beretta has decided to permanently retire
the now famous Microcore, using the Extralight on its entire range of
over/unders and semi-automatics for hunting. In fact, the new buttpad, in
addition to being 30% lighter than the previous one, is also more resistant
to abrasion and humidity, while maintaining the same recoil absorption
capacity. The open cell structure of the Microcore, in fact, had the defect
of excessively absorbing moisture and, consequently, was rather sensitive
to abrasion and flaking, requiring replacement of the buttpad after a few
The lug on which the forend iron is
mounted is equipped with a block fixed years of intense use. The closed cell structure of the Extralight brilliantly
by a hexagonal screw. The block can be solves this drawback while being even smoother and therefore more
easily replaced to restore the original suitable for the istinctive shots that often characterize woodcock hunting.
tension in case of wear. The stock is 370 mm long, with a standard drop of 35 mm at the comb
