Dual configuration
As for the mechanical elements, the company offers a dual configuration on the
Ultraleggero, allowing the hunter to choose between a classic selective single trigger
and an innovative trigger defined as double single trigger, for the first time offered
as standard on a Beretta firearm. This choice is only available on models with 26 or
28 inches barrels, while for the others only the selective single trigger is provided
and the double single trigger is available as an option. The double single trigger
allows the shooter to choose more quickly which barrel to shoot first, without
having to move the selector. The firing mechanism is equipped with two triggers:
by acting on the front one you shoot first with the lower barrel and then with the

The trigger pack is made of Ergal, as

black anodized. The lockwork is cocked by two sturdy spiral springs
mounted on steel guide rods, which give the way to a pair of hammers
equipped with a two stage safety mechanism. Both the single trigger
and the double single trigger are inertia operated, with the inertia block
hinged in the lower part of the underguard. There are two cocking
rods, one for each hammer, and they slide in the lower part of the
receiver, on both sides. The manual safety is of the traditional type on
the tail of the action. The version with a single trigger is equipped with
a first barrel selector located on the safety, while the one with double
single trigger, of course, does not have one.
Lightened steelium
For the barrels, Beretta has decided to select steels characterized by
an as low as possible density, in order to reduce the overall weight.
