screws, inserted from the front.
To the left of the steel insert there
are two screws: one to hold the
action and the other to hold the fork
which facilitates the removal of the

use various plates to adjust the drop
of the stock and various thicknesses
to increase the length of pull.

evocative of one of the best-known predators in nature: there are those who fear it for its ruthlessness with its
victims, those who admire it for its ability to be dominant, for its speed and for its precision while hunting. For
Benelli, the goal is to transform the Lupo into a faithful hunting companion.
We had the opportunity to try one of the very first rifles for the Italian market to come off the production lines of
the Urbino plant. Sure enough, the new rifle has been on sale in the United States for a few months, but for the Old
Continent Benelli has prepared a version that can count on the use of the BE.S.T. surface treatment, for a weapon
that definitely meets the expectations of a hunter more attentive to the aesthetic aspect, compared to his colleagues
from overseas, to whom the version with traditional bluing has been reserved.
The result? The certainty of having between your hands a rifle that fully respects what can now be easily defined
as the “Benelli style”: an uncommon weapon, in which aesthetics and technological research come together in a
rifle that has a captivating look, but also pays attention to what matters. The Lupo satisfies the needs of hunters,
especially in the aspect that most interests those who buy a rifle: accuracy, a decisive feature for this type of
weapon, which I was able to “touch” during our in-depth test at the Cora di Urbania shooting range.
FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO BUY IT
Target market: The hunter who wants to stand out and is looking for a rifle that combines aesthetics, build
quality and high accuracy
What it requires: custom reloads help if you want to squeeze everything out of the accuracy, however the lupo
has proven to shoot very well also with factory ammo. The BE.S.T. treatment raises the price a little, but it
extends the operating life and “lightens” the routine maintenance work
Why you should buy it: because it is objectively beautiful, built with high quality materials and because it has its
own distinctive personality
Possible alternatives: Sako S20 and Savage 110 High Country, for the modularity of their stocks
