                 Magnus, the Victrix muzzle brake

The Magnus muzzle brake is the new addition to the Victrix catalogue and, as with all the other products of the
Bergamo-based company, it is characterized by uncompromising quality. The result of a development work that
lasted about two years, with different weapons, calibers and types of ammunition, vibrational analyzes and specific
studies also conducted with the use of high-speed cameras, the Magnus not only reduces the feeling of recoil
but also, indeed, above all, it reduces the amount of gas present behind the bullet by 96%, thus eliminating their
destabilizing and perturbing effect, as well as reducing the sound pressure on the shooter by about 12 decibels.
Two versions are available, one in Aisi 630 stainless steel, the other in a super-light titanium-based alloy. Four types The new muzzle
will be set up, for standard calibers, magnum, for Chey-tac calibers and for the .50 Bmg. The Magnus will be sold brake for rifle
exclusively on the company’s official website and on the Rome accessories e-commerce. made by Victrix

Guns and feminicides: we were right

In the face of the usual, and recent, reference with increasingly alarmist tones by the mainstream media
on the incidence of the use of firearms (legally owned, of course) in femicides and in particular in femicides
perpetrated within the family, we went to verify the figures released by the Ministry of the Interior in occasion
of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
The study, made official last November 25th, compares the data of 2019 and 2020 and the data between
January 1st and October 31st, 2020 with those of the same period of 2021. The homicides in general in Italy
                 have been 317 in 2019 and 286 in 2020. Between 1st January and 31st October 2020, 245 were perpetrated,
while in the same period of 2021 have been 246. Female victims grew from 111 in 2019 to 116 in 2020, 95
of which were killed by 31st October, compared to as many as 102 killed between 1st January and 31st
October 2021. So, comparing a 10 percent decline in homicides in general in the two-year period 2019-2020,
female victims increased by 5 percent. In the same period, the rate of homicides of women perpetrated in
the family and in the emotional sphere also increased by the same percentage. 68 percent of these women
have been killed by their partner or former partner. Moving on to the analysis of the period January-October The numbers show that the
2020-2021, the trend of homicides in general has recorded a marginal increase (+0.4 per cent), while the evident variations between the
amount of female victims is more significant, passing from 95 to 102 (therefore with an increase of 7 percent). tools used for femicides and in
The homicides in general committed in the family / emotional sphere grew from 121 to 126 with an increase particular when talking about
of 4 percent, but those who see female victims, in the family and emotional sphere, have grown from 82 to firearms, do not affect in any way
86, therefore with a + 5 percent. The same percentage increase for the victims of partners or former partners, the total number of them.
which went from 56 to 59. Against this percentage increase in femicides and in particular of femicides
committed in the family context, the modus operandi recorded a significant decrease in the use of firearms, which fell from 28 per cent in the
period 1st January-31st October to 20.9 per cent in the same period in 2021. The balance in the dramatic death toll is provided, in particular, by a
marginal increase in cases of suffocation or strangulation (from 12 to 15 percent) but, above all, in the substantial increase in cases in which the
murder was perpetrated with pointed or cutting tools, which grew from 41 to 55.8 percent.
Unfortunately, it should be noted that the fluctuations in the use of one or the other tool used to perpetrate femicides and, in particular, femicides
committed in the family and emotional sphere, have no impact on the total of the criminal acts committed. Is this meant to represent that the
legislation on legally owned weapons is not susceptible to improvement, in the interest of citizens’ safety? Absolutely not. We ask, much more
simply, that a paroxysmal (and false) narrative of the emergency be released to justify completely abnormal and disproportionate measures,
such as those envisaged by the Verini-Magi law proposal, towards the sector.

                                                                              From Italy & the World_News
